Superior Features of the Painted Deluxe Line

Door Construction

Door .jpg (12430 bytes)

Uniquely designed as durable, lightweight doors, MDB builds the highest of quality. Trim work is glued, screwed and stapled securely in place and holes are filled and finished. The doors are attached to the barn with Stanley LifeTime hinges with bearing, the most durable hinge on the market. These hinges are bolted on, for both strength and theft prevention. The Dutch series is equipped with a stabilizer bar to prevent the door from warping the wrong way, enabling the door to always close tightly and securely. A  steel threshold is installed to protect the edge of the door and to aid in cleaning out the barn. The Dutch series comes with a 10-year door construction warranty.

Clean Roof Construction

barnroof.jpg (11567 bytes)

At Michigan Dutch Barns we use 5/8" staples for our roof construction rather than longer staples or nails. In doing this, the inside roof of all our buildings are left unscarred and provides less chance of cutting yourself on sharp nails.

Stud Construction

Our 2 x 4" studs are 16" OC, creating a much sturdier building boasting far more lumber than other barns.

Cedar Trim

All our trim work is done with cedar wood, the strongest wood available. The trip has an oil base pre-stain on all four sides and we follow that up with 2 coats of paint.

Drip Edge

A drip edge is included on all our Dutch buildings.  This is something that not all barn builders use, but it adds a finished look around roof lines.
